We found this charming pub on our way home. It was so clean, welcoming and the perfect place for a rest stop. We stayed and.ordered their pizza...which was very delicious! Homemade pizzas were a hit with my kiddos..."the best pizza ever!" We took some home...if you ever get a chance to visit the Portage Inn, it's a MUST for their hospitality and the pizza!

I forgot about this place until the wife suggested we go for a drink and a bite to eat on our day off. I was not disappointed. The pizza was top not and draft beer was nice and cold. Will definitely continue coming.

Got the cod sandwich it was great. The service is very attentive, and the atmosphere is good for a small bar. The place is also very clean when compared to others in the area. I would recommend this stop to anyone. Large and small groups for lunch/dinner or drinks.

We needed a place to eat while in town. This little pub was a great spot. The pizza and fries were delicious. They had a number of local and typical beers on tap. The service was friendly and prompt. The place is kid friendly.

I was in need of dinner On my way to NYC and I saw the great reviews so I stopped at Portage in and it’s no joke. Got the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and it was amazing and the server/bartender (81635 on the receipt), she was incredible.

Super delicious pizza!! Nice light sauce, really good cheese and fantastic toppings! Cheesey bread was delish too! Definitely a must try! Great service and really awesome environment!

Sandwich was really good, chicken chunks were ok. Instead of drizzling the garlic parm sauce over or tossing them in it, it appeared as if they just poured the chunks on top of sauce. Service was a little slow, but they were busy with a class reunion as well.

This place has become a staple for myself and friend group, it's a really good ride on a motorcycle if you get here taking OH-105/Portage River Rd. Probably only roads in the area with enough curves to have fun on. The food is farm-to-table, all locally sourced ingredients and prepped in the kitchen. The prices are also very good, if you're from Michigan they have Stroh's beer which is a nice touch. Chicken chunks are sold by weight instead of by piece so you know you're getting your money's worth. I travel domestically and internationally for work and this place has some of the best subs and chicken chunks you can get here in the US. Pizza is top-tier but it is a bit different: sauce is sparse but tasty, the toppings go in the middle and cheese is melted on top over the toppings. It is great, but it's not a style everyone likes, try it for yourself. Not-so-great: The venue is fairly big and if it gets packed the kitchen slows to a crawl as there is limited oven space. Both pizzas and subs go through the oven and that is the kitchen bottle-neck. The kitchen also doesn't outside vent very well, and as such it also vents a bit to the dining area. So if you're there for a while your clothes will eventually pick up a bit of grease smell.
